Kirk Baumeister, M.S., J.D.

Kirk has over twenty years of experience working on intellectual property and licensing matters related to research, development and commercialization of biopharmaceuticals.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Drew University and Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Temple University School of Medicine. After graduate school, Kirk worked at E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co., Inc. supporting early HIV research.

Prior to becoming of counsel at Riverside Law, Kirk has held positions at a boutique intellectual property law firm in Philadelphia, GlaxoSmithKline, and another large multinational pharmaceutical company, where he supported three marketed products in the oncology field.

Kirk has extensive intellectual property experience including world-wide patent portfolio strategy and development, life-cycle management, due diligence, patentability analysis, freedom to operate reviews, patent drafting and patent prosecution. His experience also includes support of litigation and licensing matters. Kirk is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
